Parcours 6: Offline Attendance, Sequencing and Student Import

•Byrnu Team•2 min read

Byrnu announces the availability of Parcours 6. This version lets teachers record attendance without a connection, enriches program planning and simplifies the arrival of students in vocational training centres.

Offline Attendance for Teachers

Attendance entry no longer depends on the quality of the network:

  • the application starts without a connection;
  • attendance sheets can be downloaded in advance for a date range, and those of the current week are preloaded automatically;
  • changes entered offline are kept, then synchronized when the connection returns, with a counter of pending items and a confirmation of success;
  • quick-select chips make entering late minutes easier;
  • each teacher can be given a personal colour.

Program Phases and Sequencing

Program planning is now done by phases:

  • phases are managed by drag and drop, and competencies can be moved from one phase to another;
  • a unified sequencing editor serves groups and individual plans alike;
  • simultaneous competencies form blocks, with a combined duration and teacher and room choices at the block level;
  • schedule adjustments are possible on a confirmed group, without unconfirming it;
  • a sequence can limit the list of teachers authorized to teach it;
  • an assignment toolbox lets you assign rooms and resources to competencies by drag and drop.

Student Import and Work-Study

Students arrive in Parcours more easily:

  • student lists are imported from Excel files from Jade or AdmissionFP, including in individualized programs;
  • students' sociodemographic and family attributes are supported, as is the exemption code;
  • a report presents work-study (ATE) hours per student, and competencies and programs now carry their ATE hours.

Solver-Based Planning

The new-generation solver plans from rooms and respects continuity of delivery. It is accessible directly from the Planning menu. A 360-degree window shows a group's details and planning status at a glance, and the calendar can be customized group by group.

Personal Information Protection and Everyday Comfort

Parcours 6 lays the foundation for compliance with Law 25: a data retention and deletion policy, configurable by type of data, and anonymization of students' personal information.

Daily work is also made easier:

  • a notes tab and a tags tab in the student record;
  • shareable links to student and teacher records;
  • a confirmation before leaving a page with unsaved changes.
