Parcours 8: Schedules by Phase, Instant Solver and Documents
Byrnu announces the availability of Parcours 8. This version rethinks how schedules are defined, speeds up planning and enriches the tracking of teachers and students in vocational training centres.
Calendars and Schedule Patterns
Schedules are now defined within the application, by program and by phase:
- a program carries a schedule template, and each phase can carry its own pattern;
- a phase can use several patterns and several calendars;
- a student's schedule can be customized from their enrolment, with a timeline displayed directly in the pages;
- a "single schedule" view simplifies ordinary deliveries: one calendar, one pattern, without going through the full editor;
- the calendar is chosen when a delivery is created, and the first available calendar is preselected when a group is created.
The initialization wizard now includes a step dedicated to schedule patterns, and alerts flag the phases that have none. The vocabulary is harmonized throughout the application to clearly distinguish the calendar from the schedule pattern.
A Solver That Answers Instantly
Planning requests are now resolved immediately. The resolution time is displayed on screen as "Résolu en X s", which makes it possible to try several scenarios without waiting.
Tracking Teachers and Students
Three new features make day-to-day tracking easier:
- an annual workload page for the teacher, under Teaching;
- a schedule report per student;
- competency locks for students, available in the assignment views.
Document Submission Through an Arkiv Integration
Parcours now integrates with Arkiv for student document submission:
- the student views their supporting documents and submits their work;
- staff manage supporting documents from a Documents tab;
- folders are created automatically in Arkiv.
