What a teacher can teach, when they are available, and what their contract allows: three distinct things.
Assigning a teacher to a competency takes three answers: can they teach it, are they available then, and does their working frame allow it. Conflating the three produces a schedule nobody can hold to.
Parcours keeps them apart, and the solver reads all three.
Three things, three places
Availability windows per competency
The teacher declares what they offer, competency by competency, with start and end dates and the periods of day concerned. This is not an absence calendar: it is an offer.
A working frame, separate from the offer
Contract dates, weekly hours, absences: the frame describes what the institution has to respect. It lives apart from declared availability, because neither the rules nor the people who set them are the same.
Annual workload reads as a calendar
The annual workload calendar toggles between Load and Availability: what is already planned, and what is still open. One screen answers both "are they full?" and "where can they still go?".
An overview, not an empty selector
Annual workload shows a picture by teacher, by program and by centre as soon as you land on the page, instead of waiting for someone to be picked before it displays anything.
The solver uses it
Declared availability feeds the schedule computation alongside rooms and competency prerequisites. What the solver produces is a schedule the team can actually hold to.
Modelling what a teacher can teach without modelling when they are available yields a theoretical schedule. Holding both, with the contractual frame on top, is what makes it workable.
