Your GRICS data enters Parcours without re-keying — and you see what will change before it changes.
In a Quebec school service centre the core data already exists: training centres, teaching staff, students enrolled in vocational training and their enrolments are all held in GRICS. Keying them into a second tool by hand is work done twice, and two versions of the truth that diverge inside a week.
Parcours fetches them where they live. The import reconciles each record against what the system already holds, and shows you the outcome before writing anything.
What the import does
Four families of data, one operation
Training centres, teachers, vocational training students and their enrolments all arrive through the same import. Not one loader per file type: an import that knows the model.
Reconciliation, not duplication
Every record is matched by GRICS identifier, by email or by code. A student already in Parcours is updated, not created a second time.
You see before you commit
The preview classifies every line: New, Updated, Unchanged, Error, Unavailable. You know exactly what the import will do — and what it will not be able to do — before applying it.
Program availability is checked right there
A student whose program is not yet configured in Parcours surfaces in the preview instead of failing the import halfway through. The problem gets fixed before, not after.
The administrative system of record stays yours
GRICS remains the source of administrative data; Parcours draws from it and adds what GRICS does not do — scheduling, attendance, competency-level progress.
An import you only dare run once a year is not an import, it is a migration. Classifying every line before writing is what makes it safe to run again at each intake, with no meeting first.
