Taking attendance does not depend on the network.
In vocational training, teaching does not always happen in a wired classroom. Basement workshops, construction sites, shielded labs, remote service points, work placements: having no connection is as common as having one. An application that demands the network to take attendance ends up on paper, and the sheets get keyed in again the next day.
Parcours treats offline as a normal mode of the application, not as an outage.

How it works
Download what you need
Before leaving, the teacher picks a date range and downloads the matching attendance. Groups, students and periods travel with them.
The same interface, connected or not
Offline, the attendance screen is the everyday one: same students, same AM and PM periods, same speed of entry. An indicator simply reports the state of the connection.
Synchronisation is automatic
Entries are kept locally and go up on their own as soon as the network returns. No procedure to remember, no step to forget.
Full granularity is kept
Competency taught, duration, activity type, teacher of record: the detail of an attendance entry is captured offline exactly as online. The pedagogical data is not degraded because the network was missing.
Nothing to key in twice
What was captured offline feeds progression, accumulated hours and reports like everything else. The paper sheet and its double entry leave the process.
Offline mode is not only for extreme cases. It removes the question a teacher asks every morning — will this work today — and that is what makes digital attendance actually get adopted.
