A hundred students on screen at once, and three ways to take attendance depending on what you are doing.
Taking attendance for a group of fifteen and for a floor of a hundred and twenty are not the same gesture. A sheet cut for one forces dozens of scrolls for the other.

Sur un grand écran ou un tableau interactif, la feuille classique laisse place au « mur » : une tuile par élève, dimensionnée pour rester lisible de loin, les groupes distingués par leur couleur. L'enseignant fait son appel en touchant les tuiles, sans chercher une ligne dans une grille. C'est la réponse au cas réel que la feuille ne servait pas — un atelier où plusieurs groupes travaillent ensemble, et un appel qui doit se faire debout, en trente secondes.

A layout that follows your question
The wall lays out by program, by competency or by state. Colour territories and ranks make the groupings visible without reading every name.
A roll-call mode, on the keyboard
For calling the roll out loud, a dedicated mode steps through students from the keyboard — no mouse, at the pace of speech.
Classic, Grid or Wall, your choice
The attendance sheet keeps its classic form, switches to a table, or opens as a wall. The preference is remembered: you choose it once.
What a colleague records shows up
The attendance screens — today's sheet, assiduity, consolidated view — refresh when someone else records. No more F5, no more two people contradicting each other about the same group.
The wall does not replace the classic sheet: it is another reading of it. What changes is that a floor of a hundred and twenty students stops being the case where the tool slows down the person using it.
